Serie A season over

To me; we look exactly like how we did under Pirlo. Don’t lose a lot, but don’t win much and look shaky as fuck at the back.

What a bunch of sad, lifeless, toothless clowns. Vergogna.
It's a lot like the Pirlo season.

Bizarre movement and gaping holes in midfield at times. It's not quite as bad and I think there is more of a plan but it is concerning. It looks like another season fighting to get in the top 4 and season over in October.

I recall we were even undefeated in the league until December.

Our banter era has been 5 years strong now. Fuck I can’t wait until we finally get out of it.

The midfield isn't good enough, so Motta is struggling with his selection. We lost Bremer, but we shouldn't be so badly exposed if our midfield could cover in those defensive periods. There were massive holes everywhere so I get Weah having to start over Yildiz, Conceicao does track back a lot, but we need our CBs to be covered better. The next problem is the transition from deep in midfield to the attack phase and we don't do it well enough. You need very accurate passers, which isn't Locatelli of Fagioli. This is highlighted further because Thuram isn't bursting forward as he should so the attack now relies heavily on the wingers. That leaves McKennie and he seems to be our most useful mid, he gets into great positions and chips in with goals.

The bottom line is that with Bremer, we wrap this game up early and keep a clean sheet. Now Motta is struggling to balance the team. With two solid CMs, we could play two wingers and partner Vlahovic with Yildiz in the middle because Vlahovic isn't good enough to be that focal point alone. When Koop came on we became even more vulnerable, Parma had a few great counters but failed to finish. Perhaps for the moment, we go 3-4-3 and make the most of the wingers and wingbacks spreading the play while an extra CB helps out at the back.

I think the good defensive record this team had until the Stuttgart game was a combination of defensive mindset and the great performances of Bremer and Kalulu.

With Bremer out and Kalulu rested its a shit show.

Those two allow you to play a high line and press higher, Gatti can as well but once you have Danilo in there that's all over.

Fucking shit performance. Thiago Motta is starting to look out of his depth here.

The Stuttgart UCL game was supposed to be the wake-up call. Today's starting line-up was completely unacceptable.

Are we actually building towards winning anything? All the momentum after that Inter 4-4 comeback down the toilet.

Yes we are missing Bremer but holy fuck I didn't think we were this bad defensively. We can't be this dependent on 1 player.

Do not sub anyone in half time speaks volume. The team was playing a horrible game against Parma at home and he didn’t sub anyone right away.

That shows lack of personality. We’ll see but for now, near future does not look good
