Is it though? Lucumi will be a free agent next summer, 28yo with a tendency for muscle injuries.
Cabal is almost worthless now after his long injury and poor form… Miretti is probably worth €15M plus some bonuses if we’re lucky.

I’m by no means a big Lucumi fan but seems like he won’t leave for less than €20M anyway and we appear to really want him, probably view him as someone able to challenge for a starting spot, whereas we are letting go of two surplus reserve players and getting their wages off our books too, so yeah i do kind of think it sounds too good to be true to an extent when you compare to the other likely alternative which is that we pay up close to Bologna’s asking price anyway and take on Lucumi’s wages while also still keeping Miretti and Cabal along too.

They both earn around 1m net/yr while their book value is also minimal.

So you’d rather us keep them and pay Bologna cash, ok.

Yeah i’d also rather him as a free agent next summer(or just skip him altogether) instead but that’s not the point of discussion here, meanwhile both Cabal and Miretti are players we are trying to offload and Lucumi is a player we’re strongly interested in for right now.

This I didnt know.
Feels like that guy we got at the time Andrade, he was hailed great but then played 1 game, maybe didnt even play at all and got a serious injury.
Defenders are players that should last longer as the probability of them receiving kicks are way lower. We need someone who can be fit consistent and good.

There is one problem though.. Lucumi will be signed by another club if we wait. There is interest and I doubt he will reject all offers just to get a chance here..

Cabal is worthless so even if it doesnt lower the value I still think we should include him.
Miretti is different though, not a big fan of his but he has his qualities. If he doesnt reduce the cost by 15M or so - I wouldnt mind keeping him as backup/rotation - Its not as our midfield is on another level..

Let me stop you right there
I was actually waiting for someone to do that.
The thing about potential is not just his potential but also the environment. We are full with nobodies that try to prove themselves and they keep failing since we dont have the right setup to allow them to grow.

Pogba for example (2015 Pogba) - He might succeed here with this Juve but his chances are way below that 2015 team that allowed him to be what he became before the injuries.

Napoli have inquired about Teun Koopmeiners, who is valued at around €33M. A permanent offer would be needed to avoid losses, though a loan with buy option could also be considered.

#Koopmeiners is no longer central in Spalletti’s plans, with Locatelli and Douglas Luiz expected to play a bigger role.

Manchester United and Aston Villa have also shown interest, likely for a loan deal. #Napoli could be an easier fit since Koop has already played five years in Serie A.

Did I say that? I just don't see anything spectacular in exchanging 23 and 25 yo on low wages for a 28yo nothing special defender on his last year of the contract while you call it to good to be true.

Loaning with option to any Serie Ass club is dumb as fuck, I dont care how bad he has been for Juve, stop strengthening our rivals on favourable deals would be a start. Paid loan with obligation has to be the way.
