...I wouldn't give these guys any minutes. David the only one as a desperation sub maybe.
well who would you play then? miretti? openda? mckennie as a cm? they've been pretty bad too in those positions. it's not a coincidence that when everyone was available, spalletti played perin, kalulu, bremer, kelly, cambiaso, locatelli, thuram, chico, mckennie, yildiz and vlahovic. that's our best 11, and it's still full of tradeoffs

out of those you mentioned, digre is the only legitimately questionable choice. he's been fucking terrible and i still can't understand how. that guy was pretty good at monza, and now look at him, he would deserve to be fired from his job

I already said who I'd play, if Thuram is remotely fit he should play given the other options. Today he came on, so should have started in what was an essential game. Boga instead of David.

I'd keep Conceicao on far longer than Spalletti has been giving him instead of bringing on Zhegrova. Most of the time he is removed when he is still running around and doesn't look tired.

If Thuram was out injured I'd probably go McKennie or Miretti at centre mid next to Loca. Not that I rate either in that position but Koop has been absolutely woeful.

It's easy to say Spalletti would play Perin when fit but the fact is other than a short spell a month or so ago, he didn't really do that. When he came ba l from his injury he should have been straight back in the team. He also should have been no. 1 far earlier.

More like let’s hope the Saudi Pro League will be interested too.

Or maybe who knows, he makes a few okaish cameos at the World Cup and he suddenly has some suitors, but we’ll likely need Netherlands to go far.

Best move for him is probably Roma under Gasperini. That's where he actually looked like a player. It wouldn't even surprise me if he suddenly looks good again there.

Some guys are just system merchants, you take them out of it and they're bang average. That, in a nutshell, was the story of Teun's spectacular fall from grace at Juve.

It was even recorded apparently.

Totally agree with this, while he has many kms statistically he is not really mobile at all for some reason. He was late to cover that left side for Cambiaso when they scored.
Not really a surprise. That's on Spalletti for playing him.
The problem is who do u play in this game? MCKennie maybe, but he has proven many times he is not a midfielder with his shortcomings. Thuram was not ready afaik and Mirretti is ohh well, a Mirretti.

I don't think Roma is a good place for him. The expectations there are disproportionate to the club's actual status and he would find a very hostile fanbase there. Totally different than in Turin where the pressure he creates for himself in his head. It's a bit different than 2k angry supporters visiting Trigoria.

Look at that goal... Koop was the one dueling for the header on a DiGre kick in midfield. Blaming him for not being back on time isn't fair at all.

If Thuram was able to play a full second half he could have just as well started and be taken off later… but say he is unfit, poor or whatever, then we had also McKennie whom did play and we could have switched to a 2 man midfield with him dropping a bit more(considering he was everywhere but nowhere throughout the game anyway) and switch formation to require more attacking options on the pitch instead of a liability nobody trusts such as Koop when considering that we needed to win by all means that day.
