Up there with Arthur.

Both absolutely washed and basically a massive hole in midfield.
Arthur wasn't better. Perhaps even worse. But we paid 12m+a finished Pjanic. A terrible, terrible transfer for sure. We replaced one of our most important players from the previous seasons with a liability like Arthur.
But the money paid for Koop wins it for me.

Translation->

,,WHEN I ARRIVED WE DID A VERY GOOD LEVEL FOOTBALL AND KOOP WAS INSIDE THE FORMATION AS A CENTRAL DEFENDER AND AT THAT MOMENT WE PLAYED VERY WELL.

I THINK HIS ROLE IS TO MAKE HIM START AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE AND HE ALSO AGREES.

GREAT FOOT, HE CAN SCORE GOALS, I REMAIN CONFIDENT THAT HE CAN MAKE REAL THE QUALITIES HE HAS AND THAT FOR A GOOD STRETCH OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP UNTIL THE RETURN OF BREMER HE SHOWED US

Looks like Spalletone still has plans with Koop and isn’t giving up on him just yet, either that or is just doing some positive publicity for his potential sell.

Just taking a step back here, and looking at the bigger picture here, in Koopmeiners Year 2.

I am still yet to understand, how was this guy an absolute baller in Atalanta's midfield, and in the Netherland's NT (stood out in WC 2022)...and so far has had incredibly underwhelming and ineffective spell at Juventus?

Bro's played in every single position too. Under three managers. Make it make sense to me, coz I still don't understand how a Juve jersey is this guy's kryptonite.

I almost want to go back and watch Gasperini's Atalanta to see how he thrived in that system. Did he really thrive?

It‘s the same with so many other players who came here. With Koop i agree completely that its really questionable what happened to him, seemed really like he forgot how to play simple football.
But overall it cannot be a coincidence. Its the mismanagement of everything, from transfer to player development, handling their training, preparation, playing time, the pressure and the trust. Psychologically we lack so much its evident and chronic.

Its the system that makes it hard to show here something.

IMO of course

It’s gotta be a culture thing at Juve, players arrive there and get complacent thinking they made it. No strong characters in the team to keep them grounded.

we had many such players throughout the years. martinez, almiron, mandzukic, .

we just had lots of better players to cover for them. sucks that now there is no one to cover for how weak players are. and other problem is that every season in last 5 seasons the important signings have all failed.

Even more passive than Rabiot.

Waste of dosh.

A left centreback he may end up, but even would he be a 15mil one let along the chunk of change spaffed for him.

Sell and recover best we can
