Koopmeiners was never really given a chance, Allegri introduced him very slow and kept subbing him out.
when he failed to deliver according to expectations, he was perm-benched and never given a chance to play again.
The main reason was Locatelli, Locatelli started in much much more worse state than Koop, worse because he has no positive contribution and committed many and more crucial mistakes, but the journalists favored him, outlined always that he had good statistics, esp miles covered Tudor kept playing him no matter the cost for Juve.
Even when that cost was grave enough to cost his own seat, he has never given Koop the chance to try again and they even made Locatelli a captain, so that the next coach would have no option but to start with him, in order to keep team cohency.

Spaletti declared that he doesn't rate any of them and needs a creative midfielder.
The mngnt that imposed Locatelli and had decided that Koops will be sold, unless he accepts the subber role has imposed that.

Locatelli grew powerful enough to dictate who starts and what role each player has, held no grudge over Koops, because he never challenged him.
As a compromise, Koops was only used as an extra CB, in a place that could not compete with Cambiaso or Locatelli, that and only that.

As long as Locatelli is in charge, nothing will change

he will have a great world cup don't worry. easy sell for 25m to some EPL side after.
Just a few cameos where he doesn’t completely flop around should already do the trick, although personally i wouldn’t bet on it but odds are good, worst case there will still be some Saudi or Turkish club to come forward with at least €20M to save the day.

its same with openda too. notice koop and openda are barley given chances in their natural positions

but cambiaso and locatelli keep getting chances despite making mistakes. di gregorio same.

decades have gone by, but juve remains a nationalistic institution focused on pushing italians over talented foreigners, as you said multiple times.

Honestly would not care if we gave him away for free. Davids coming out of retirement with two broken legs would still perform better than koop. He needs to go...i'd rather see an unknowm next gen 18 year old get chances before him.

He is as useless as a flyscreen door on a submarine.

One word Locatelli, basically media want to promote the Italian
In Atalanta he had Ederson and De Roon as his partner for midfielder, which no one is Italian
He give more freeedom, and their midfielder basically play like a box (3-4-2-1) which there are 4 midfield rotating place, he can play anywhere between 2 in the midfield or 2 in the AM

Nah, he just can't play under such pressure. Mid-level club player.
