What happens when they moved franchises around like crazy in past (only 5 organisations in nba remain in city they were made with original name lol). Was as easy like changing underwear lol.

Like Jay mentioned, NO would fit to get it back Jazz name. Because that's where the franchise originated. Which makes sense, New Orleans is famous for Jazz music. Was moved to Utah and kept name, least jazzy place in US.

More confusing is. New Orleans Pelicans used to be Charlotte hornets 88 to 2002. Became new Orleans hornets, up to 2013 when they became new Orleans Pelicans (hornets reminded them too much of Charlotte, pelican is the state bird).

When they left Charlotte 20 years ago, nba added new expansion team to city of Charlotte, named Charlotte Bobcats. That same Bobcats in 2013, when NO Pelicans changed from hornets to Pelicans, decided to change their name to Charlotte Hornets.

Even tho current Charlotte hornets organisation has nothing to do with the Charlotte hornet's between 88 to 2002.o_O

Lol they weren't getting new fans by moving to new Orleans and being called hornets still. Apparently they did survey, chose Pelicans simply because it's louisiana state bird and need identity marker to rally behind.

They desperately could use the Jazz name back.
Does this mean hornet is North Carolina’s state insect?

Big game tonight, I'm probably the only one here rooting for Celtics. :D Not really a Celtics fan, followed Knicks, then Mavs, then Wizards while KP was there and I have to say Celtics have been a wildly different experience lol.
I don't hate either team but I'm not American so don't have the same exposure to either fan base. I suppose as Boston have won a million times before I'd prefer Dallas.

Lol. They chose the name due to something random about Cornwallis. It sounded too dumb to be real in their wiki entry.

He ain't lost, he is facing the best back court defense in like forever? Holiday and White are DPOY level guards.

And If he switches from them he runs into even bigger wing defenders in the two Jays. And under the rim it's best pick and roll defender Big in Horford (he can switch on anyone) or 7'3 shot blocking PorzinGod. Everywhere he turns elite defensive bodies on him.

He also struggled vs OKC for similar reason for back court defense.

Notice how in Minnesota series or any time he scored a little in this finals, it's allways been because he attacks immediately from in bound with first step, before defense settles in and gets off a difficult lay up finish 1v1. Almost transition buckets.

Any time he faces actual half court defence, they litterally suffocating him and forcing him to shoot hail Mary attempts that become bricks. He forced alot of shots he would never take, he been that desperate this finals. Every single defender out there is making have nightmares. Only one he has slight advantages on is PorzinGod out in perimeter, he is too fast for him in transition. Everyone else hounds him and make him turn over.

Kyrie or anyone else in that Mavs team can shoot for shit so far. This stat is embarrassing:

Lol I seen that.

But even if he his historically goat level offensive player. Doncic does not deserve any excuses for game 2. He was so switched off and insanely horrible defensively all game. They targeted him and got on him just as many points as he scored. He had zero effort on D all game. Embarrassing.

Well he had to do everything in offense by himself, afcourse then he lacked in deffense. But till finals he was top 5 defensive players in the playoffs (yeah i said it).
Other Mavs display is far more embarrasing than his D.

He's there only to do his offsensive part as he's clearly not fit for anything else. Even when 100% in shape he's mediocre on the defensive end, so I am not surprised that he does nothing when he's all banged up. He's been dealing with various injuries since the 1st round with Clipps

Doncic has been playing above and beyond, he deserves no blame whatsoever. Mavs need to move on from Kyrie and try to get some actual good players on their team.

He is insanely amazing on offensive side, and I know about his niggling injury he is playing with. But only there to do offensive part does not work in an NBA finals. Yes his teammates are letting him down on offense. But he was letting them down on defense entire game.

Jrue, White, Brown were litterally just running straight to the basket whenever he was on them and he just was letting them go by without trying.

He is not fit to defend well even when healthy, but atleast try, he wasn't trying most of the game ans that was super costly.

Celtics allways have 4 out of 5 guys who can create their shot and drive. So this is not the Wolves (Kyle Anderson/Naw), OKC (Dort) or Clippers (Amir Coffey) where he can rest on a non shooter or shaky spot up guy who will never drive to basket.

Most of his advanced stats good D stats this playoffs is post defence with backed paint D behind him, slow post players he just stays on. Or non scorers he can hide on.

To actually think he is top 5 player in D this playoffs is crazy to me.

This not about blaming him, he has carried them. But to address the glaring weakness they are exploiting. He is facing a quadruple offensive threat team, and they just targeting him and nullifying him by getting as much points on him as they are scoring on him.

If he is gonna keep seeing this Celtics team in nba finals in coming years, this is part or his game he needs to elevate, and try to be more of acceptable ok defender. Not even two way player, just try more and put in more effort.

Duh they are losing because rest of team can't score and this all nba level starting lineup of celtics are shutting them down while cooking them on offense (even in bad shooting nights). He is getting his 30 pt triple double. But to elevate his game to next level for future finals, he needs to stop playing at matador defense. It works vs opponents who only have 1 or 2 scorers, not a whole starting lineup of them.

There is no way they can get anyone better then Kyrie next to Luka.

What they need is another shot creator/scorer off bench or in one of the forward spots, so it's not just 3 guys waiting to be fed by Luka otherwise they can't get buckets. Triple threat more well rounded players.

But those types will cost you.

But as for 2nd options go, unless it's a big wing scorer that's a superstar, it's really friggin hard to get a better Robin then Kyrie.

It's reactionary to think just get rid of kyrie. They are in the finals because he finally got a good 2nd option teammate like kyrie, and solid defensive role players.

It's just that vs super stacked celtics, you need more then that.
