Dude trying to convince himself, I think. You can be a great player and also a championship chaser. I think he envies the respect one team legends have. Would have been interesting to see LeBron stay at the Cavs until he was at least 32 or 33.
BTW Lakers ending the season without Luka and Reaves is an interesting one. Will see what they shape they are in come the playoffs.
Oh, and the NBA decided the Kings aren't tanking lol. They investigated it and everything, and concluded that they are just so crap and inept that even their coach doesn't understand NBA fouling rules. That's it, that's what it is... Let's be serious here, the league split into two weeks ago and multiple teams are tanking. I've seen games where both teams are sitting their top 10 players and fielding 10 dayers. This is Mickey Mouse March basketball with fringe players scoring 35, 40 points.
Interesting sub plot here, with Bucks doing it to Giannis and him saying he is fit and wants to play, Bucks saying no, no, no, he is definitely injured. NBA will investigate. Nothing will happen, I'm sure.
I read that Adam Silver's new fix for tanking is going to be expanding the draft lottery to 18 teams with 10 missing the play in at equal odds and 8 play in teams with smaller odds. Can just imagine a play in team winning the championship or going to the finals and then drafting the #1 pick on a season it's Wemby or Flagg. There really isn't a lot to be done in the US model without relegation.
