Give it a couple of weeks then will vote.

snap reaction is “at least we didn’t buy trash”

would have been nice to add a “big man”, even if it was straight into Next Gen and a backup to first team.

koop and Dusan book values weigh heavy compared to their zero output.
I think we recall Leonardo Cerri back from Bari, he is 22 , 198cm tall, only score 1 goal in Serie B from 10 apps lol

Don't know if he can be use if needed to nod the ball in

If I have almost 2m height, I will learn everything I can to have that kind of CR7 jump. With that, I will win every aerial duel

7/10

We didn’t buy shit. We needed subs and we got them without spending big. One of them we can bring for a very low fee and salary. What’s keeping it to not be a 10 is not signing at least someone to cover for David.

A solid 7/10
Quickly learned from previous mercato and didn't make any panic signings.Solid back up options though injury prone but slowly we are building a team to achieve future success.

L’U.S. Sassuolo Calcio comunica di aver acquisito dalla Juventus, con la formula del prestito con diritto di opzione, contro opzione e diritto di riacquisto a favore della Juventus, le prestazioni sportive del calciatore Pedro Felipe.
Good deal

Overall this mercato was fine

Boga for near to nothing as another option to backup Yildiz, Holm on a good deal which gives us some depth and we didn't overpay for any speculative randoms.

7 for the guys we did bring in: both cheap backups in a position of need.

2 for the guys we did not bring in: our striker search was a farce. Maybe we did some work for Kolo in the summer in the end, that's about the only positive here.

7 for the guys we sold or did not want to sell:
Blocking Perin rightly so, Pedro Felipe loaned with an option and buyback, getting Joao Mario a team and getting rid of Rugani (finally!) but not loaning out a practically unused Adzic...

So all in all: 5,5. Didn't change the needle, didn't spent stupidly. A striker should've come but we practically were begging for one without money...

Definitely changed our ways, the jury is still out on our new guys.

Starting with pass mark 6:
+10: successfully found Yildiz and Kalulu's backups
-5: sadly the backups are Boga and Holm
-5: unsurprisingly both are injury prone
+10: fortunately didn't waste money on rubbish striker
-10: heartbreakingly fail to offload Gatti
-10: regrettably David Luiz's clause is an option to buy, not obligation
+8: pleasantly the counter-option in Felipe's loan deal is fascinating

overall: 4
:comolli:

I’ll give 5.5 overall solely for not committing to additional expensive obligations to buy for the summer and for finding cheap depth solutions via loan+option even if their availability and form remains a question mark…

Yet the grade stays low because we failed in our main quest for a ST which was the coach’s primary demand, whereas we again have not improved the quality of the squad but rather just added more questionable quantity to it, with the only benefit that gives it a passing grade being that we managed to restrain from wasting more funds on other potential costly flops.

I think the players we brought in are mediocre at best but can be useful allowing us to sub off some players having a healthy lead. Also, no club will give away a useful player for nothing midseason and seeing we had no cash there was no possibility to bring someone good.

What I liked about this mercato was not seeing panic expensive buys. Imo we showed we didn't even count on this one, which is totally fine as our season was fucked long time ago. I'd rather save and spend during the summer even if it's small cash. Not to mention that my expectations were close to zero when it comes to January.

Summer mercato will be a totally different story, though. That's at least my take.

Watched a fantastic video earlier today from a Juventini YouTuber who surmised it really well…interesting twist when putting different angles of view to it.

Winter market is always a tough time to buy. Thats no excuse for our planning. Especially for a position weve been wanting to fill as a top priority.
At the end, the manner in which we do our business always leaves a bitter taste in our mouths. I mean did comolli really think spurs were gonna give muani away.

I personally dont see much difference in swapping holm with mario. other than it finally means spaletti can use another player off the bench. Boga is well, a bogus signing, bizarre for someone like us.

Coming in early to move Douglas Luiz to Villa was a good move. Its the only place where he can make it.

I've given it a 5, and thats mainly because of the exciting nextgen signings.
In the summer, and like every summer i expect much more.
