I don’t follow enough footy but Foden is nothing special from what I’ve seen.

Palmer and Maguire not being called up seems stupid to me but maybe Tuchel knows what he’s doing.
He says he wants to focus on building the right team and that his decision did not depend on talent alone.

Of course that's kind of what they all say, but in England's case it makes sense. They have always relied too much on individual players rather than try to build a team tough to beat. Italy in 2021 would be the total opposite.

There were loads of times for example when they were trying to play Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes together and the end result was Scholes on the wing which did not do anyone any favours.

I agree that Foden and Palmer shouldn't start in Tuchel's team but when chasing a game, you need a couple of wildcards to make things happen. Even if they're disruptive overall, they can be great.

Nuno Saraiva is in the tradition of Portuguese news illustrators.

This one effectively shows U.S. ICE manhandling the Virgin Mary, the Portuguese Mary of Fátima style, as the Portugal NT looks on bewildered. The quote says the NT players didn't know that Mary was born in Palestine.

Notice #7 with his back to the whole affair. :lol2:

I got a feeling that this World Cup will probably record a bunch of games with some of the lowest ever attendances, i mean ofc mostly and especially in the early stages of the tournament where seeing more than a few half empty stadiums will be a normal sight in this current format and at the prices being reported one would imagine… so unless more cheap tickets initiatives gets widespread into other states then i don’t see how most of those stadiums will get filled.
The tickets could be given away for free and the casual American wouldn't go. There are 2 things the average American hates:

1 - Soccer - a feminine sport played by faggoty pussies

2 - Foreigners - especially ones who play soccer and roll around pretending to be hurt like faggoty pussies

The big games and games with big countries/star players will have good attendance. I can't imagine group stage matches between 2 shit countries will draw any interest, and will require people from their respective countries coming to support, or just immigrants in the area from a country were soccer is the #1 sport.

This would be a problem anywhere though. How much would you pay to see Cabo Verde vs Saudi Arabia? I don't think you'd find many normal people anywhere on Earth that would pay the minimum of about $400 for that.

Yeah but in the US, you could offer them for free and you'd get laughed at.

I couldn't care less about that game, but if I lived in a city where games were being played and I was offered a free ticket, I'd go, just to say I got to experience a World Cup game in person. I think it would be a cool experience.

In Europe, Asia, South/Central America, etc, people would probably feel the same way I do.

Legit Tuga rappers in the house on this one for WC 2026. Not half bad. Usually the PT NT doesn't release crap songs for the WC, but with this great Tuga rapper lineup I kinda expected better.

For those who might not catch the lyrical twist, "É tudo ou nada" is "it's all or nothing". "Tuga" is like a fuzzy warm term many Portuguese use to refer to each other ("Tuga" = "Portugal" clipped on either end). Think the n-word with none of the racist connotations. So it's a play on words.

The inane World Cup promotions are hitting the stores now.

This for TostaRica "choco-gay". Just don't ask what's between those biscuits, baby. Lick Ronaldo's creamy fudge (and whatever that white ooze is) center.

But the most impressive part is the nutritional information, which includes 6 vitamins, iron, and "calcio". Given this last incredient, perhaps I should send a few cases to Continassa.

If that’s true, it shows what a joke his appointment was.
Liked the guy but if true will root against no matter what club he manages! I would say just by what the USA have shown under him, it's been a fail. Not that confident we will do any better in WC and so sad if so playing on home soil. Still can't comprehend how Luna was left off. What more did he have to do in US competition leading up to this. Forget the Euro league lack pf play, fuk that! You even had him as #10 when Pulisic wasn't around.

I’m thinking it’ll be like the EPL thread, individual match threads might be a little too much for all the useless games that will be taking place.

Makes sense, which is why i think it will be just like with previous WC’s and other major international tournaments where there was a dedicated subforum and a couple of general/live threads to discuss in.

It will most likely look similar to this I’d assume.@MrMonkey
