    My top teams are:

    1.Spain
    2.France
    3.Portugal/England

I don't see Argentina hungry enough after winning it last year and Brazil sucks.

Who will be the "best breakout" player at the World Cup?

I'm hoping Yildiz can put on a show in Group D (USA, Paraguay, Australia, Turkiye) and really announce himself on the world stage. Not that I want him sold, fuck no. But it would make me happy to see him have a great tournament.

Should we have a poll for World Cup winner prediction?
    Kerim Alajbegovic. ;)

Forgot about Musiala. Could be a big tourney for him and Wirtz.
Musiala is coming off a serious injury and didn't really look good or click with the team after coming back. It'll be interesting to see if it's physical with him, or if he looks better playing in Nagelsmann's system.

I could see Wirtz having a big tournament again, and Liverpool fans putting half the blame for his minimal impact on Slot, and the other half saying he can only do it playing for Germany and not against the elite talent in the EPL.

My qualm is more about players who show up for their national team more than the team that puts food on their table
To be honest, I don't recall him ever really performing for the national team either.

I get it though, but no one can make me hate Klose though :D

I agree. I've watched some Turkish national team matches & it seems like he is still being treated as a youngster.

Only just noticed this now, how can this possibly be World Cup groups lol
I hate the fact that you have this 3rd place nonsense in world cups too now

Takes out any surprise element in group stages of the world cup. You can start slow and somehow sneak your way to the knockouts by finishing 3rd. Stoopid format

Perfect for a country like Italy.

Too bad they'll never qualify for a World Cup again.

It’s nothing new though. 94 had a similar weird format too. I remember Italy finishing 3rd in the group and as we know they made it to the final. Having said that I don’t like it either.
