I still remember the first time I heard this. Back then, I wasn’t really listening to any new music anymore just the same old shit I’d been into for the past 20 years. Litourgiya completely blew me away. I had it on repeat for months, didn’t listen to anything else.

I come back to it often, and I think it’s one of the best albums I’ve ever heard.

Highly recommend it loud and in headphones.

just got home from a machine head, fear factory gig. they both slayed. vogg (polish guitarist from decapitated) is a beast. robb flynn's singing was also amazing, especially considering he's an almost 60 year old dude. pretentious at times, still a pro

crazy to think that demanufacture came out 30 years ago. it still sounds fresh

some of you old fuckers might remember this swiss band from the late '80s, early '90s when they released a couple of pretty good records. they broke up in the mid '90s, and their last release was in '93. and after 32 years, here's a new record.

and it's great. if you're into this less traditional, progressive trash metal, do yourself a favor and listen to the whole thing. these two songs aren't even the best, they probably picked these because they have a slightly more traditional structure and some other songs are harder to digest for the youtube generation. it is easily one of the best metal records of the last few years

i absolutely adored warrel dane as a singer and i thought he'd be impossible to replace but this turkish dude gets most of his parts right. i might go to the concert if they happen to hit hungary. jeff loomis is still a beast

besides their cars with v8 engines, quality power tools and usa-made guitars, some of the few undoubtably likeable american things left are their selected metal bands. like this one:
