I hear from EPL fans and media that Saliba is the best CB in the world, and every time I watch him, both with Arsenal & France, I just dont get it.

His positioning and decision making on that goal was horrendous. In a tough situation to be in, he played it about as poorly as you possibly could.
This. I really don't understand the hype around him. He makes so many mistakes.

saliba isn't a bad player, he's a very good passer to begin with

and that's where it ends lol. as you guys said, he's way too error prone, not elite in duels (like van dijk or bremer), doesn't score, doesn't assist despite being a good passer and playing for an attacking team playing very high on the pitch. he's nothing special other than his passing

it's not even a hot take to say that calafiori is twice the player on his position :boh:

What a bore the Arsenal City game was. City happy to sit back and Arsenal competing in most sideway passes in a slow tempo. Why splash so much cash on a striker that will never get anything to work with?

"With my knowledge, know-how and how I analyse a football game, it was impossible for me to predict such a dominance from Arsenal for 96 minutes. It has never happened in 17 years of Pep as a manager.

@Firestarter

mr dominance :lol2:
Guy lives in cloud cuckoo land. He's one of those coaches who will simply never accept any fault or criticism. Actually can't stand him.
yes, him and their fans are unbearable. enjoy this schadenfreude.

Chiesa with two assists ?! Did he find some form or what

No doubt he has quality, it's just that we never had him available. Liverpool don't miss him when he's out, they have a solid squad with many options.
