during the first half my buddy said in a fb group chat that they won't make it to the top4.

(he also said after 2-2 that we were gonna win today)
I would go that far, thay still have one of the strongest squad. They just need to get rid of Chivu. Hard to understand why he kept Mkhitiryan for the entire game yesterday.

me neither, i also think they have the strongest squad. i didn't see the whole match but even yesterday it was obvious that they can still keep the ball, play high and shoot a lot. that should be enough against the majority of serie a teams

they have their problems though. barella has been meh for a while, acerbi (although looked fine yesterday since we failed to exploit his lack of speed) is old af, sommer dropped considerably and his lack of height is showing when he can't somehow compensate it with speed, looks like bastoni peaked two seasons ago, lautaro can disappear for months and they don't have an effective deputy. the downsizing they made for economic reasons show. and there's chivu who's a huge question mark for them. then again, only conte (and probably gasp) offers any kind of guarantee in serie a, so i don't think chivu alone disqualifies them from anything

i still hope they have a shitty season. more than anyone, they are depending on cl revenue. it would be nice to see them contemplating selling both thuram and martinez and replace them with any striker sassuolo currently have lol

Looks like Conte has already rejuvenated Hojlund who didn't even look like a football player at Union.

Fucking hell. This guy is a genius at getting the best out of broken players.

Like ours or worse?
Ours was a slow and steady (self-inflicted) decline.

Inter had no reason to not win be the league champs every szn we won our last one in 2020. Conte won and then Inzaghi under achieved in every competition. With the climax being last szn where they pissed away a treble and we embarassed in front of the entire planet

True, Inter should have won every single scudetto from 2021 to 2025. They won only two.
If we had Marotta and their team, it would have been 5/5.
We'd have lost the two CL finals too, though.

Just watched the highlights. Its just amazing the effect Conte has on his teams.
Roma losing is a surprise.
Lets see how Milan fare against Bologna

Overall Serie A currently have one team clearly on top and its Napoli.
The downgrade from Inzaghi to Chivu really messed Inter up. Its not that CL final - Inter play different to last year, there are moves that made you just look and admire that they do not do anything.
This will allow Juve to compete with Inter for 2nd. On paper their Lautaro Thuram partnership is stronger than ours but I do see improvement in our team compared to last year.
