Inevitably, I can now revisit this conversation only 4 games with confirmation using the statistic you measure the quality of a defence by. (Not that it was necessary)

It was obvious that any half decent side would expose our defence the moment we contemplate playing a slightly open game.
Well, hard to make a statistical case either way when half of those games were leaky af and the other half consisted of clean sheets...

Not really, the original point I challenged was that goals conceded is the main measuring stick of the quality of a defence. 7 goals conceded in 4 games is shit.

Secondly it also backs the point that data can often be manipulated to the point you are trying to make. ie) 7 goals conceded in 4 games - there is a problem.
2 clean sheets in 4 games, all is well.

Using your eyes, brain and experience of watching the game, serves as a better guide to form an opinion/judgement.

And clean sheets in 50% of the games is great. That's about it. The sample size is too small and therefor the manipulation would simply be the ones using that to prove any point now imo.

It's not one or the other... It can and should be used in the end but not exclusively ofc.

Now we can better comment on the summer transfers, a few games of the season and the CL telling how awful it was.
We should have targeted either Osimhen or Muani for the forward.
Selling Mbangula for 10m was a terrible decision.
The midfield has not improved at all, we could have brought Tonali from the beginning instead of wasting money on players who have shown no signs of a promising future.

all of the summer signings turned out be cow shit.
Meanwhile A.Costa is doing wonders in Portugal while that mighty RB we got for him isnt even being picked when everyone else is injured.
Even Kostic got a chance before him.. The one who I think everyone thought would never play for us again..

I fucking called it that Costa for Joao Mario was dumb as fuck... No no no but the stats said Joao Mario is good and that short cameo vs Atalanta had people drooling over him...

We literally cannot deploy a back 4 since we sold our 2 capable RBs in the summer, or failing that if you switch Cambiaso to the right we are still an actual left back short.

How the fuck did Cuntmolli get a position as CEO for such an error.
