Think Sinner needed to get over the mental block with Alcaraz, but he does have the consistency to edge the rivalry. Alcaraz seems like he has something more special in his locker but maybe more likely to have a random loss on a year day

Sinner was like a machine in this final. Weird to think that Sinner was strong favourite to lose that Dimitrov match but for injury, which is unlike him. He had a bit more luck than average in this tournament, including a couple of net drops in the final.

i wanted the big 3 (big 4?) to retire asap so that the grand slam finals would be less predictable.

tennis: hold my beer lol. sinner will win 3 gs titles by playing 4 finals, alcaraz will win one and play in 3 finals. can these two retire already :snoop:

You might get someone else come along who is the same level, but barring injuries, it does seem like it'll be 2 or 3 players competing regularly for the GS. The odd player should still win from time to time though. A Safin or Wawrinka or Medvedev.
