Might as well just play Mario and see how good he is. Or we could had played the Portuguese guy we traded for Mario and played him and see how good he was.

As long as we realize that these players need to play first to adapt to Italian football and make mistakes in the process, don’t sign anybody

For next summer try to bring Ederson or Hjulmand. Sell Koop. Buy 2 good defenders and bring Kolo Muani home.

Sell get/ rid of

Vlahovic
Kostic
Gati
Rugani

I would also sell Locatelli for 40m but JJ fans will have a meltdown so...
If it is so easy to sell them they would already been sold last summer.
No one is going to pay 40M on Locatelli
Ederson lets see how he does this year without his Gasperini
Hjulmand - No thanks, he is vastly overvalued.

Any Arab team would pay 40 mil for Locatelli 30-40 i don't see why not.

Any good player seems overvalued nowadays, just ask Arsenal.

If we missed with Koop and Douglas purchases doesn't mean every other player will be a flop that cost 50-60mil.

It also doesnt make them an instant success. Besides I dont rate them too high. Ederson was great last season but I would have liked to see how he fares now.
Hjulmand - Never been a fan to begin with. He is a good player but he is giving me Poulsen vibes.

Tonali - Tonali is a clear upgrade, he was so before going to Newcastle and he just improved his game since his move. I`d even say he is almost twice the player he was at Milan. If we break the bank for a CM it better be him.

LCB, CM and GK.

If we fill any of these positions properly our team would improve hugely.
I disgree on Di Gregorio.

He was the best keeper in Serie A two seasons ago, he was very cheap to purchase, and he had a very good year last year.

He's started awful so far this year but I think for price/wages he's more than sufficient to be a competitive or top club.

For me, he didn't. He had a very good club World Cup, no doubt about it and looked good against Parma this season.

But it was the same issues last season, no command of his box and rooted to his line on crosses and shots. Goals conceded at his near post.

He was better than this at Monza but after more than a year here he needs to improve quickly.

You are 100% correct

On all points...

We might had a chance for one but we blew it on two occasions..
Donnarumma after Milan exit was FREE!!!
Donnarumma at PSG wanting out - We could have offered them a swap but then they got their GK and the opportunity past.

Anyway he is not to be blamed for all 4 goals and he provided a really good pass that eventually ended in a goal IIRC.

D.G is overall a good GK - I agree he isnt ideal but he is a Peruzzi level GK - The type which will concede some while also able to put extraordinary saves at times.
Ofcourse I`d like a new Buffon instead of him but lets face it we need other positions taken care of before we can think of an upgrade.
CBs - Pretty obvious we need at least one and I`d even argue for 2.
RB - We have J.M who does well but if he is that good why isnt he a starter? I suspect his defensive game.
CM - We need Tonali - There is no other way to phrase that.

Then there is the GK and the LB - Cambiasso is good at connecting passes while under pressure, aside for that he helps the attack BUT his defensive game is very lacking.

And there is another issue - Conceding is not just the players its also about a need to adjust the tactics to make it fierce but solid.

- - - Updated - - -

I`ll ask it differently - Is there anyone who is way better than Kalulu (who I still rate as the strongest between him Kelly and Gatti)?

He’s just an okay-ish GK. Has some good games where he saves you points because of his reflexes, and some bad ones where costs you point. Doesn’t have a unique skill as a goalie. Not good with his feet (although they said he was), bang average at PK’s and pretty meh when coming out to get a ball from a corner or free kick. We were spoiled with Gigi and Tek the last years imo. Now we got a Sampdoria/Genoa/Lecce/Bologna level goalie

Honestly I dont see much difference. Tek was a better shot stopper but D.G has more presence.
Buffon is ofcourse on another level but this is the case for Buffon compared to any other GK as well.

Peruzzi had some great saves but also some should have saved ones. All that he was still considered as a good GK - D.G is very similar IMO.
