I started rewatching Friends. This serie is the most famous series for language learners. The dialogues, slang and accent are top notch. I watching it with english and persian subtitles. This serie has fairly amazing plot for each episode. Always feel new brand , never gets old and I never get tired of watching it.
in a few years we'll have netflix, prime, apple tv and nothing else lol, and it's gonna get pretty expensive, won't it. even now i'm paying ~double of what i used to pay like 2-3 years ago (and i'm not even watching these uniform series lol). i think i might cancel everything after the winter school break and go back to piracy just like in the good old days
There's been rumours of mergers at least for streaming platforms for some time, it makes sense. In fact there are already tie ins.
It's too expensive though, too much competition. You have 5 or 6 large American companies now. We have 4 or 5 domestic channels with streaming apps (free but paid less ads), plus all these other ones in between or niche. Only people without jobs could possibly make use of it.

I’m only up to the second episode of this new Season 5 lot of Stranger Things - just to finish what I started long ago.
I’ve lamented past successful series and movies in the past where a lack of budget initially forced them to use their brains. And then success comes and all brains go out the window with big budgets.
All of that is to say that every actor on this show has gotten way older. But the Duffer Brothers, who wrote and produced it, seem to have regressed to about age 13.
