Hard to think we could have got a better deal out of this, just moving him on was already wishful thinking at this stage because tbh i thought he’ll end up staying after all, now hopefully it will become an obligation too, which i doubt it wouldn’t unless he goes on a multiple months injury hiatus.

NICO GONZALEZ JOINS ATLETICO MADRID

After just one season with Juventus, Nico Gonzalez is leaving the club. The Argentine forward has signed for Atletico Madrid, joining on loan with an option to buy, which could become mandatory if certain conditions are met during the season.

Having arrived in Turin in the summer of 2024, Nico went on to make several important appearances, contributing to the team's journey in the league and in Europe. His professionalism and commitment have never wavered during these months together.
Nico leaves Juventus having made 40 appearances, scoring five goals and contributing four assists, and was one of eight Juventus players in the 2024/25 season to score at least four goals and provide at least four assists in all competitions.
Juventus thanks Nico for everything he has done for us and wishes him all the best for his future.

1m doesn't cover his amortization. without the obligation, it's a bad deal. with the obligation though, easily acceptable. let's hope the conditions are easily achievable

The same Atletico that didn't play Antoine friggin Griezzmann, because his loan from Barcelona became permanent if he played 50% of the games.

Griezmann is probably the best player in Atletico's history and they even benched him.

I'll quote this post in the summer, but if there any doubt over him Atletico will bench his ass surely after game 19.
